Willowbridge Lifestyle
The Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre was extended to improve trading hoursand this was effected by the addition of a new roof ensuring trading during inclement weather, thus enhancing the shopper experience.
KMH was appointed to add to this successful Lifestyle Centre by adding a new roof over the predominant portion of the mall. This enabled the centre to trade better during bad weather and, in addition, accommodate the Slow Organic Market which the centre hosts every weekend.
The Willowbridge Lifestyle Centre is approximately 23 000 m2 of boutique and lifestyle-orientated tenant mix and is anchored by PnP, Woolworths and Dischem. The project involved the roofing of the man mall and internal refurbishment of the mall to reflect the indoor/outdoor feel of the centre.
The centre thrives on weekends and fair weather and the ambition of the project was to extend the trading hours and enhance the shopper experience.The introduction of the roof allowed the landlord to add to the commercial offering with Regus taking up the glazed infill to complement their ‘Workshare’offering on the first floor.
Together with the impetus on the mall, the circulation and parking areas were amended to enhance the access and egress points of the centre.
